In Gaelic mythology, Cailleach is a one-eyed crone with blue skin associated with winter. She carries a staff that freezes the ground, and in Scotland she is known as the Queen of Winter as she rules the months between November and May. 

In English folklore, Black Annis is a one-eyed crone with sharp teeth, black claws, and a blue face who devoured travelers, specifically children whom she flayed alive before hanging their skins on the wall of her cave. She was said to be the remnants of the Pagan goddess Cailleach.
